Whitewater Township Fire & EMS provides fire protection and Emergency Medical Services to our community. Whitewater Township Fire & EMS provides comprehensive emergency and public safety services which include but not limited to Basic and Advanced Life Support, Specialized Rescue and Public Education. Some of our programs offered to the public include:
CPR / Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Training, Basic First Aid, Baby Sitter Training and Fire Extinguisher Training. For more information on these and other services we provide please call our Headquarters 513-353-1518.
We have two stations which are manned 24 hours a day using a combination of full-time and part-time personnel. Our current staffing model consists of a combination of full-time and part-time employees. There are currently 6 full-time fire fighters and 30 part-time firefighters including officers. Full-time firefighters work a 24 hour shift every third day. Most part-time employees work a 12 or 24 hour shift based on their availability.
Our firefighters proudly serve the community of nearly 6,100 residents in an area of 24 square miles and make and estimated 1000 EMS details and 400 fire details each year. Our emergency responses include but not limited to: medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, motor vehicle crashes, swift/static water rescue, technical rescue, property emergency, industrial accidents and emergencies pertaining to fire.

This department uses a combination of full-time and part-time employees for all operations. We do not have volunteer positions. All entry-level positions are part-time positions.

As part of the hiring process, applicants will be required to undergo background checks, drug screening, and a physical ability test. For consideration, applicants must possess Firefighter 1 and at least an EMT-Basic certifications.
